Precinct and District Shapefiles
The following shapefiles are available:
- Statewide precinct map
- City precincts
- County precincts
- County supervisor districts
GIS (geographic information system) software must be used to open these files. Contact your county auditor to request precinct maps in other formats.

These city and county precinct maps are based on the 2010 federal decennial census information and the authorized city and county reprecincting plans effective January 15, 2012. Annexations and other changes authorized under Iowa Code ยง49.8 may cause modifications to these maps. The statewide precinct map may include recent annexations.
The school district maps are based on the 2010 federal decennial census information and the authorized school director redistricting plans effective July 1, 2012. This Office will attempt to update the shapefiles if needed for school reorganizations or changes in school representation plans.
