Schultz Helping Connect Iowa Businesses to Local Resources

Des Moines – Iowa Secretary of State Matt Schultz unveiled today a new Chamber of Commerce locator on the Iowa Secretary of State website.

“As businesses file their paperwork with the State of Iowa through the Secretary of State’s office, we also wanted to help local businesses get in touch with economic development resources in their area,” Schultz said. “The new Chamber of Commerce locator was requested by business leaders around Iowa and should help provide synergy between businesses and local resources to help them succeed and grow.”

Schultz regularly visits with community and business leaders across Iowa to hear directly what is working and what isn’t working for Iowa businesses and communities. As Iowa’s Secretary of State, Schultz has focused on cutting red tape so Iowa businesses can continue to grow. Businesses are now able to file their forms online with the state of Iowa. Also under Schultz’s leadership, www.sos.iowa.gov now offers a free searchable mechanic’s lien registry to help residential homeowners, subcontractors and banks.
