Do my students really need to complete the pledge to vote cards?

Yes. Voter registrations are sent to the local county auditor’s office, not the Iowa Secretary of State’s Office. Pledge to vote cards are how we verify registrations and track your school’s eligible progress towards earning the award. Without them, we cannot track your progress.
