More Election Fraud Charges Filed
DCI investigation leads to two individuals charged with election fraud(DES MOINES, Iowa)—Today, the Iowa Department of Criminal Investigation announced that two individuals have been charged with Election Fraud, a Class D Felony, and Fraudulent Practices, an Aggravated Misdemeanor. The individuals reside in Warren and Wright counties.
On September 20, three individuals were charged in Pottawattamie County.
According to criminal complaints filed, the two individuals charged today are previously convicted felons who registered to vote while obtaining state issued driver’s licenses and or identification cards.
Secretary Schultz commented, “Iowans deserve fair and honest elections. Every person who cheats in our election process deprives a hard-working, eligible citizen of their voice in our government. That is why I have been fighting for election integrity and will continue to do so.
“I am grateful for the hard work and dedication of DCI in their investigations of election crimes in our state.”
