MEDIA ADVISORY: County Auditor Offices Open Statewide Next 2 Saturdays

(DES MOINES, Iowa)--Early voting continues in Iowa, with county auditors’ offices open statewide for the final two Saturdays leading up to the election.

County auditor office hours will be:

  • Saturday, October 27: 8AM-5PM

  • Saturday, November 3: 9AM-5PM

The deadline for pre-registration for the Tuesday, November 6 General Election is this Saturday, October 27, and Iowans may register at the county auditor’s office until 5PM tomorrow. Pre-registering to vote will ensure a voter’s name appears on the election register, making voting on election day easy and hassle free.

If an eligible voter misses the October 27 deadline for pre-registering, same-day election registration is available at the polls.

Any voter wishing to vote early may do so in-person at the county auditor’s office on either Saturday.

As of Thursday, October 25, 586,943 absentee ballots requests have been received by auditors in Iowa, with 423,586 returned to date.

Mail-in ballots MUST BE POSTMARKED by Monday, November 5 in order to be counted by election officials.
