What: Introduction of "Safe At Home" legislation. This legislation creates an address confidentiality program for victims of abuse, assault, stalking, and other people who feel at risk.
Who: State Representative Dean Fisher, (R) from Garwin, Iowa and representing rural Black Hawk, Marshall, and Tama counties. Representative Fisher will be sponsoring the bill.

Why: The "Safe At Home" bill is modelled after laws in 35 states. Safe At Home is an address confidentiality program. This bill helps victims return their lives to a state of normalcy. This program removes participants’ addresses from public records including voting registration records and creates a substitute address for mailing purposes.
