Honor a Veteran

Honor a Veteran is a program that honors the sacrifices that Veterans have made throughout history to protect our freedoms and our sacred right to vote. Please Honor a Veteran by leaving a personal message for a military member today and by wearing your Honor a Veteran pin on Election Day.

Veterans for Voting

Our state's veterans represent an exemplary cohort of individuals who have dedicated themselves to safeguarding the liberties and freedoms enjoyed by our nation's citizens. The office of the Iowa Secretary of State and our veteran organization partners are committed to facilitating the participation of veterans across the state in exercising their right to vote.

The following resources have been created to provide information on ways to vote absentee, inform on important election dates, and answer questions about Iowa's accessible resources on election day. For questions or comments regarding this program, please contact jaime.rutan@sos.iowa.gov or call 515-210-4634.
