Trump, Grassley are early leaders in Secretary of State's Iowa State Fair Straw Poll
DES MOINES – More than 2,800 Iowa State Fairgoers participated in the Secretary of State's Straw Poll during the first four and a half days of the Fair. So far, Donald Trump is leading Hillary Clinton in the straw poll for U.S. president and Chuck Grassley is ahead of Patty Judge in the voting for preferred candidate in the U.S. Senate poll.
Here are the results as of noon on Monday:

"It's been great to see so many Iowans interested in the Straw Poll and these races," Iowa Secretary of State Paul Pate said. "We've had a large influx of Iowans register to vote while visiting our booth, including many young people registering for the first time. I'm always glad to see young people interested in the electoral process and the State Fair Straw Poll is one way to get them more engaged."
The State Fair Straw Poll also includes daily, fun questions related to Iowa and the State Fair. Those results from the first four days are:

The polls are conducted on iPads located in the Iowa Secretary of State's booth inside the Varied Industries Building at the Iowa State Fair. It will run through the entirety of the Iowa State Fair, which concludes on Sunday, August 21. The State Fair Straw Poll is unscientific and meant purely for entertainment purposes. Visitors to the Secretary of State's Fair booth can also receive help registering to vote, getting their small business verified on Google Search and Maps, pay tribute to a soldier by making an Honor a Veteran tribute, and learn more about the various programs offered by the Iowa Secretary of State's Office.
