Search Info: This alternative search logic is broader in scope than the filing office's standard UCC search logic. The alternative search allows partial matches on the business name searched. This type of search is outside the search rules in revised article nine (RA9) and can not be certified by the secretary of state. This alternative search uses the same search logic used in the Federal lien search. The alternative search is helpful in finding names that are similar too but not exactly the same as the name searched.
