Honor a Veteran

Honor a Veteran is a program that honors the sacrifices that Veterans have made throughout history to protect our freedoms and our sacred right to vote. Please Honor a Veteran by leaving a personal message for a military member today and by wearing your Honor a Veteran pin on Election Day.

Veterans for Voting

Iowa’s veterans embody service, sacrifice, and an unwavering commitment to the freedoms we cherish as a nation. Having stood on the front lines to defend our democracy, they deserve every opportunity to fully participate in it.

Veterans for Voting is a statewide, nonpartisan initiative dedicated to ensuring veterans have the information, resources, and support they need to participate in elections. Through partnerships with veteran-serving organizations, community groups, and trusted local institutions, the program shares timely election information, voting options, and Election Day resources, meeting veterans where they are and helping ensure their voices continue to be heard.

The resources provided here are designed to make participation clear and accessible. They offer guidance on absentee voting, highlight important election dates, and outline the accessible services available to voters on Election Day throughout Iowa.
