America 250: How to Host a Successful Voter Registration Drive featuring _____

The Iowa Secretary of State's Office will host an educational webinar focused on helping organizations, schools, community groups, veterans’ organizations, nonprofits, and volunteers successfully plan and conduct voter registration drives ahead of the 2026 General Election. Participants will receive practical guidance on Iowa voter registration laws, best practices for hosting registration drives, outreach strategies, and tips for engaging new voters in their communities.

As part of the office’s America 250 civic engagement efforts and the “Ready, Set, Vote 250” initiative, the office is committed to encouraging and supporting 250 voter registration drives across the state of Iowa leading up to the nation’s 250th anniversary. This webinar is designed to equip community partners and volunteers with the tools and resources needed to help achieve that goal and expand civic participation statewide.

The webinar will also feature perspectives from a student representative from Drake University, who will share firsthand experiences and insight on engaging young voters and organizing successful voter registration efforts on campus and in the community.
