Iowa Lakes CC District special elections delayed until 9 am Tuesday due to wintery weather


DES MOINES – Iowa Secretary of State Paul Pate, in conjunction with county auditors, announces an emergency declaration to delay the start time for Tuesday's Special Election for the Iowa Lakes Community College District until 9 am on Tuesday, February 9, due to severe wintery weather. Polls will be open from 9 am until 8 pm.

The counties impacted by this delay include Buena Vista, Clay, Dickinson, Emmet, Hancock, Humboldt, Kossuth, O'Brien, Osceola, Palo Alto, Pocahontas and Winnebago.

This delay also affects the polling hours for the City Special Election in Emmetsburg.
