DES MOINES - Iowa Secretary of State Paul Pate wants to assist media outlets with your coverage of state and federal candidate filings and remind you that filing period ends today (Friday), March 18 at 5 pm.

All of the filings that have been received and accepted will be posted on the Secretary of State’s website. The full list is available at this link: https://sos.iowa.gov/elections/pdf/candidates/primarycandidatelist.pdf. The list will be updated Friday evening after every filing has been processed.

Additionally, many of the candidates have taken pictures with Secretary Pate or his staff in our Capitol office after delivering their nominating petitions. These pictures are posted on the Secretary of State’s Twitter: https://twitter.com/IowaSOS and Facebook pages: https://www.facebook.com/IASecretaryofState/. Media outlets are welcome to utilize these pictures in their coverage of the candidates.
