MEDIA RELEASE: Secretary Pate launches Fast Track Filing for UCC filers

DES MOINES – Iowa Secretary of State Paul Pate announced Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) filers will now be able to utilize Fast Track Filing for their business needs. The new process launched this week and is the latest service from the Secretary of State’s Office to be transitioned into the Fast Track system.

Iowans are now able to register their new business, change their registered agent, and file UCCs using Fast Track Filing. The Secretary of State’s Office processed more than 196,000 UCC Certified Lien Reports in 2018 and maintains more than 1 million lien records in the UCC database.

“Fast Track Filing greatly benefits Iowa’s business community,” Secretary Pate said. “Users will be able to conduct their business quicker and easier than ever before. This is service at the speed of business, not the speed of government.”

Along with an expedited process, UCC filers will now be able to upload attachments with their filings, have access to their UCC filing history, edit information online, and have individual user accounts for everyone in their organization.
